We made a pond and labeled things in the frogs habitat. We have learned about the life cycle, metamorphosis, living/nonliving things, and lots of new vocabulary words. This is hanging in our classroom if you'd like to stop in and see it.
We have not posted in awhile. We have gotten 2 tadpoles in our room and have been very busy learning about frogs. We have been observing them as scientists and have been keeping journals of their growth and changes. We have done many frog projects and activities. The students are collecting our research and the activities in a frog folder and they will share them with their families when we are done.
We participated in an online Oreo project. Classes from around the world stacked Oreos and recorded their results. The results were compiled and we were able to see how our results compared with other classroom results. We had to stack regular Oreos to see how high we could stack them before they fell. We made a graph to show our results. In our class, Mya stacked the most Oreos(22) before they fell. She won a package of Oreos. Good job Mya! We also had an Oreo taste test and made a graph to show which Oreo flavor our class liked the best. Be sure to check out the slide show on the class video page.
